Imagine the life you want and then chase it relent

Imagine the life you want and then chase it relentlessly.

It worked for me, but it didn’t happen over night. Here’s what I did:

1. Created a vision board that listed every spiritual, personal, and financial goal I wanted to achieve.
2. Created a check list of attainable steps for each goal.
3. Created a network of people with similar mindsets to support one another.
4. Showed up everyday and worked my behind off!
5. Released all control to God and let him have his way!

You may have noticed I’ve been a little MIA over the past month. So many unexpected blessings have come my way and I’ve just been taking some time to soak it all in.

At the beginning of this year, I told myself I was walking away from education. I gave up on myself, but thankfully I have a supportive group of colleagues who wanted to see me win. I’m SO humbled and honored to serve in this capacity.

With a lot of transition in my life, I’m so excited to share more about my passion for service and education, as well as my journey to transform my life into exactly what I’ve always desired!

Like it did for many, the pandemic flipped my world upside down. For the past year, I have not been able to enjoy my favorite activities, spend time with my closest friends, or just live life without worry! For those reasons, I made the decision to get vaccinated.

Nothing goes away until it has taught us what we needed.

I’ve been finding myself in a pattern of situations lately, and I know it’s because I’ve let fear keep me from learning the lessons. I wrap my fear up in a pretty package called perfectionism, so to the outside world everything looks great. The one person I can’t run from is myself so I’m using this month to really reflect and figure out what’s next for my life.

What would you do if you had 24 hours off of being a mom?

Recapping the weekend. My amazing Mother’s Day gifts included a stay at the beautiful @thesylvanhotel all to myself. After the initial shock of being in the same city but being away from my kid, I could finally enjoy my alone time.

I read. I scrolled through my phone. I worked. I drank wine. Lots of it. I ate dinner and sat by the pool. I stayed up as late as I wanted, and slept until I felt ready to get up. It was refreshing.

What I realized is that I love spending time with myself. I’m so much fun, and I feel much more relaxed when I’ve had some time to breathe and be free of responsibility.
